    Hello guys, Hunting dogs (1st food upgrade) gives +10% food gathering speed, and Steel traps gives +20%. Which option is the right one ?

    1. Base speed is 100%, so 110% after hunting dogs and 130% after steel traps (an additionnal 20%).
    2. Base speed is 100%, so 110% after hunting dogs and 120% after steel traps (+20% total).
    3. Base speed is 100%, so 110% after hunting dogs and 132% (120% of 110) after steel traps.

    What graphics option do I have to change to get rid of that frayed, glitchy look that appears at the edge of an unexplored area? It also shows up at the edge of the map. It's very distracting in game.

    Why none of the AOE3 players complain about "Indians being too broad covering all of the Indian subcontintent" even whem trer was a powerful confederacy that deal hard with the Mughals, the Marathas?

    I'm always curious why the people just complain about indians of AOE2 doing injustice to the entire diversity of the kingdoms and instead just wanting their division (Delhites, Dravidians, Tamil, Bengali)? but like 0 words fot the Indians of AOE3 even when they are the true Mughals (unlike the AOE2 Indians which clearly represent all of the diversity during the medieval times, yet people say that they are "too Mughal") and also covers the Maratha Confederacy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maratha_Empire.

    Don't misunderstand me, I'm fine with the Indians in both games but I just want to know that by curiosity.

    Play online / tips ?

    Hi guys!

    I'm playing through the campaign on hard right now. But I would like to try some online games for the first time in my life. I'm not very skilled in micro managing stuff in the game so I didn't really dare to go online.

    So my question (and I don't really know if this is allowed on this subreddit), is there anybody who would want to play online with me and give me some tips? Playing against AI or other players?

    You could send me a DM or something if you're interested, I'd like to get more out of this game while in covid lockdown and have some fun!

    Noon question - online games

    I will describe myself as a massive fan of AOE3 but also a very bad online player.

    I desperately want to up my game .

    I usually play with the Japanese civilization (home lvl 25)

    I am the kind of player who likes to improve everything before I get cracking. But of course I don't get to do this before I get rush raided.

    Can anyone in this kind community provide me with solid, dumb proof tips on how to play half decent online?

    Hotkey for flair

    I know that Age of Empires 3 doesn't have any hotkey for flair. I googled and found that some people have made a hotkey for it somehow by putting in some .cfg or maybe some notepad files, but I can't find those files anywhere, nor can I find how to make them.
    Is there anybody here who knows how to make a hotkey for flair or has a file that gives you a hotkey for that?
    Because I play team games usually and clicking again and again on the minimap for flare sucks, and half the time, it doesn't even work, idk why though.

    DEVS FIX SERVERS PLEASE

    The servers are in a horrible state right now, people get dropped from lobby constantly. The game is hardly playable, lagg is constant unless you pick players with top speed connections and even then they might get randomly dropped from the game.

    Cheaters use OSS hack more than ever now that banning of accounts has not been reinforced.

    Please devs, look into the servers and see if you can start improving them as of right now!!
