    Diplo game, blue got salty and tried running/hiding. Left him with 1 vil and went for a walk for couple hours without ending the game. Came back right on time to find him destroying me and finish him with 150k food I had in stockpile.

    Do Persians really need Guard Tower?

    Played a game today where I went pike+siege against a Persian player who went scouts—>knights. I actually got enough pressure to threaten his 2x HP TC, but then he just dropped a guard tower directly next to his TC and one farther behind. I had ~4 mangonels consistently but still could secure kill vs TC. There really was only one good angle to push and it felt impossible vs Persians.

    Guard tower already is crazy strong for dealing with 1 TC aggression. Do Persians really need to get this tech when they are so hard to push already? It just feels like the civ will always boom faster than you on certain maps, and can defend any castle age aggression with guard tower with 0 skill involved. Only civs with good post-imp matchup (or stronger water play depending on map) stand a chance

    Art of War tutorial suggestion

    I think maps with Nomad Style start (no Town Center) should get a build order tutorial within the Art of War challenges. It seems that so many people don't know the basics of the build, such as building your TC next to a woodline, building a dock, collecting wood to make fishing ships, scouting for boars.. . etc.
    Especially that Megarandom is in the map pool and sometimes it generates Nomad style maps.

    Would there be a market for 3D printed AoE 2 miniatyrs?

    I have a 3D printer which i rarely use, and tought about the idea of starting to make som AoE2 miniatyrs (buildings, units etc.). Do you guys think that there is a market for such a thing? Would you buy something like that if available?

    On the Flank civs

    Hi all,

    I usually play 3v3s or 4v4s with friends and always end up on the flank position. I am fine with this, however I am looking for some recommendations for civs specifically for flank. I usually play mongols, magyars and persians but wondering if anyone else.
