    Hello guys,

    I played this game when it came out but only recently played multiplayer as my roommate was also playing it. He has exams coming so he stopped playing completely for a few weeks.

    I have played 24 supremacy games so far (half of which against said roommate who's ranked corporal) and won half. The ranking system is broken and placed me 2nd lieutenant, which I clearly don't deserve. I'd like to have regular people I could play with to train in unrated 1v1s and develop new strategies. My goal is to get better while also having fun.

    Any player level is of course welcome ! If a 100% beginner also wants to join and do 2v2 comp or whatever, I'll just be happy to play with someone that's not a complete stranger.

    I'm from Europe so I guess for lag reasons and awake time it'll be better if you're also from Europe (or close to). My ingame name is DemandredVI.

    Viability of Dutch Boom Mercenary Build?

    I haven't seen many posts about this, probably because it's a dumb idea but It never hurts to ask. I main Dutch (because I love hurting myself) and typically lean into a turtle boom hybrid because what the hell else can I really do with the Dutch? Anyways, as I was watching my banks go down in flames one day to another France player I was thinking about how much coin I produce and what is the viability of spamming mercenaries from saloons in a FF build with the Dutch.

    Of course I would mix in Dutch units but the idea of being able to spam Highlanders in conjunction with low villager pop seemed tantalizing. Or maybe I can just get good and play literally anyone else? You tell me. Love you guys!

    Honest question: Are there any players out there who don't rush attack? Or am I the only one?

    Granted I'm not the best at this game at all. I've picked up the game 2 weeks ago for a few bucks on steam and ever since I've been hooked. It not only brings back many memories from my younger years but it's also super refreshing to see there are quite a few kids playing this "old" game.

    My biggest problem at the moment is fending off a rushed attack. I get super frustrated and almost always give up. Imrthe kind of plarwho likes to build up momentum and attack when we're both fairly big, age 4 or 5 preferably.

    Are there any other players like these out here? :)

    Good civs with British allies?

    Hi, A friend of mine and I are often playing 2v2 online, and we both like to play with the Britishs. However, if we both take this civ, we are too vulnerable in early game and generally not very complementary overall. Do you have any tips on which civs could form a strong alliance with Brits ?     Age of Empires Modding

    Alright, so I've tried out all the major mods - Wars of Liberty, Napoleonic Era, and the Improvement Mod. The one I've liked the most was Age of Empires Unleashed, but I felt, like the ones above, it changed too much about the Age I love (1 population cavalry, etc). I am looking primarily for a good mod, or mod setup, that improves the computer AI, and maybe a few helpful gameplay changes (zoom, rotation, textures, etc.) Ideally, it could be downloaded by my family for LAN play as well. Any thoughts? Thanks!
