Out of the 50 last ranked games I played (I always ban the same maps): hidout 4 arabia 7 arena 8 four lakes 12 acropolis 19 To think that I once thought acropolis was a fun map to play... (link in description) Posted: 13 Apr 2020 03:46 PM PDT THIS IS CURRENTLY A FREELY HOSTED HEROKU APP WHICH MEANS THE SITE GOES INTO STANDBY MODE WHEN IT ISN'T VISITED FOR A WHILE, IT CAN TAKE 15-20 SECONDS TO LOAD FOR THE FIRST TIME. View unique civ data: icons, unique units/buildings, civ bonuses. View technologies, their costs & what they do. Why: I was watching a lot of AoE2:DE 1v1 streams on twitch and I wanted more context on what the hell was going on. I had no idea why they would pick certain civs on certain maps etc. I had no idea what certain technologies did. Notes: The last time the game data was updated can be found in the bottom left of the footer. I used AdvancedGenieEditor3.exe (included with DE) to mine stats for a lot of units (I wish Age of Empires had an API you could hit for the game data so that it automatically stayed updated) so I'm bound to have made errors. Game desyncing? Posted: 14 Apr 2020 07:33 AM PDT As title says, is anyone else having huge desyncs from games when playing? Burmese Champion + Arambai Posted: 13 Apr 2020 10:58 PM PDT I've recently gotten back into AOE2 and I'm in love with Burmese due to their economy bonuses and strong infantry. I've found that Champions combined with Arambai have given my opponents fits and thought it was interesting as I've not seen the combo mentioned alot. Burmese Champions are excellent on their own, but with Arambai behind them, they seem unstoppable. The closest anyone has gotten countering are Britons with their bows massed. Even then the Champions were able to get close enough to allow the Arambai to get in range and force a retreat. Mass producing Champions was necessary but at less cost than the bows. Curious if anyone has played with this combo or suggestions how it might be countered? Having a lot of fun with this one. submitted by /u/DusmaN121 [link] [comments]
