I am wondering about all the dumb things I do that I am throwing away resources. Any simple tips of things people need to do to stop wasting resources especially early in game? Useless cards ? | What do we know about AOE: DE? Posted: 01 Jul 2020 09:30 AM PDT I bought AOE 3 in the steam sale recently. Playing through but intend to buy DE version when it comes out. I have been searching around and I'm surprised that virtually no information, screenshot, video exist. To me if your sitting on something impressive, you put out a teaser to get people excited. If its not that good you sit on it as long as possible, hope people buy it before reviews come out stating that its not worth the purchase. There was a leaked youtube vid of the beta but was promptly removed (I never saw the video). Some comments said they weren't impressed and that nothing much was changed, others commented that that person was playing on low settings. I get it but also find it super weird that these professional players with such high end PCs play the game in 'dog shit' mode just to get minor performance improvement. A little ott. There also seems to be almost 0 official information of the game. For example, its supposedly being developed by Tantalus Media. Well, I'm not sure there is even a section for it on their website, or if there is all it says is there working on it, there is not information about it. I haven't seen any interviews with the devs commenting on the game once. Given that they already had round 2 of the beta, I suspect where AOE 2 DE was a complete overhaul of the game. It seems to me whoever is working on AOE 3 DE is just doing a surface level (minotr balances and UI changes) update. AOE 2 had cutsce artwork and soundtrack completely redone. Is AOE 3 campaign cutscense gonna be the same or redone, The same but higher quality models? We know more and have seen more of AOE 4 than AOE 3: DE. Whats up with that? Have I missed a load of information, it would be cool if some one could briefly summarise what we know about it or point me in the direction of some interview or forum with information. Cheers.
