Do you think they might change up the Civ Ruler for DE? Posted: 17 Sep 2020 09:28 PM PDT I am not much of a fan of the current ones, particularly Napoleon and Elizabeth I which I would not miss if given Louis XVI, and George III, respectively. [link] [comments] |
Any nerfs you are hoping for in the DE? Posted: 17 Sep 2020 07:18 AM PDT I don't wanna go to much into detail for my own since in other posts in other games i've been flamed for my opinion but i make it short and say: Keep in mind that those three are just my personal preference. Feel free to post yours here ^_^ [link] [comments] |
Weird bug: I can't cut down (some) trees. Posted: 17 Sep 2020 01:27 PM PDT This is the original AOE3. I've got a single-player skirmish going and there's a small group of trees that I can't cut down. The cursor doesn't change to an ax when I hover over them. It DOES change...a little. Like it looks a slightly different color and a slightly different shape when I hover. I've cut down every other tree on the island. Anyone seen this or know a fix? I don't NEED to cut them down, but it's the principle at this point. [link] [comments] |
Stress test is stressful from the start Posted: 17 Sep 2020 07:06 AM PDT Office work pressure was too much to handle lately, I couldn't even come online and play TAD on ESO in the last several days. Yesterday after 10 PM I saw an email saying that I got a beta invite. I was elated beyond imagination. So I said "screw work" I need to play this now. After following steps described in the link redirected from the email and after almost an hour of download and install, DE beta crashed my computer upon launch. After a restart, I tried playing AOE3:TAD and computer crashed again. I switched computers and tried to get DE beta on to my bootcamp windows on Mac book pro. Since it was almost 12 AM by this time and I had to wait for another hour to get things setup, I thought better play a game on ESO in the mean time rather than attend to office work preoccupied with DE. I played Comp stomp 3v5 to relax but this expert computer built walls (probably modded AI), when I was running out of resources and asked if my host-ally was here or AFK, he said, he's at work. I couldn't believe it. After a grueling 1.5 hours, AI finally resigned. I exit the game only to realize that my bootcamp partition of 120 GB ran out of disk space and installation failed. This time it failed for in sufficient disk space. It's 2 AM now, office work still incomplete, more office work tomorrow, eyes hurt because of lack of sleep and after having worked and played late night yet again and on top of all that realization that computers not adequate enough to handle my favorite game yet again. It's 2006 all over again. Back then my 128MB RAM couldn't handle AOE3 vanilla. Had to buy a new PC with 512MB and flunk a few college classes and spend a few sleep deprived nights to complete the campaign. Now this AOE:DE is testing my computer specs yet again and I couldn't play in peace. My dear AOE3 community , can you please suggest an adequate enough computer to be able handle DE specs and more importantly, where I can buy or how I build one if I can? [link] [comments] |
