Any other original aoe3 veteran feel like the culture in DE's community is drastically different? Posted: 20 Nov 2020 01:14 PM PST I don't think it's just me. In the original game hosted on ESO, most players were communicative and cooperative regardless of rank. DE Players are less chatty in team games. It's very frustrating because they often don't even respond when you ask them what unit they will make or which general strategy to follow. It's like pulling teeth! I thought it was a language barrier, but when the game ends, the players that do not say anything throughout the entire match would start flaming in perfect English. wtf? [link] [comments]
How to play as a returning (ie, shit) player with experienced friends? Posted: 20 Nov 2020 09:28 PM PST Just played several team and FFA games with some friends. I haven't played in 5-6 years. They play this weekly. I want to enjoy playing with them, but the knowledge gap makes me, an incredibly competitive person, super frustrated that I suck and lose all the time. Any tips? What is actually the best way to counter cav as China? Posted: 20 Nov 2020 08:45 AM PST (Without counting manchu) You often hear that the best counter is your own cav. Is this better than fully carded and upgraded keshiks or changdao? Even old Han for that matter. Would it be accurate to say in the early game Ming army is the best option, cav in the midgame and fully carded keshiks in late game? How about keshiks without the old dynasty card tho? Or black flag army with 4 changdao + 2 meteor? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Nov 2020 04:40 PM PST Noob here. Just started the game and so far Iroquois are my favorite faction. But i seems to have a very shitty economy in the late game and the wood is a real struggle. How do you generally deal with these issues and play them ? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Am I going insane, inca missing a card Posted: 20 Nov 2020 07:23 PM PST So i'm looking for the card town ceremony as the incas but it doesn't seem to exist when I swear a few days ago it did, all of the other native civs have access to it [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Nov 2020 06:20 AM PST Hey all, I'm leaving a post in this subreddit to share some my content. Shameless self plug, I know, but I did want to get some of it out there. In particular, I am sharing the videos I have made regarding build orders and other concepts. Enjoy, but more especially, let me know if these were helpful or if you would like to see something covered! [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Nov 2020 08:52 AM PST Like the title says, what's a pretty good overall civ and/or strategy to counter france? [link] [comments]
How does reporting work in DE? Posted: 20 Nov 2020 09:06 AM PST Yesterday, one of my opponents warned that he would report me, alleging a hack, after I stole a treasure for the second time. They would kill the treasure guardians and I would swoop in and steal the treasure. I've the record of the game to prove that nothing was fishy. Treasure stealing is a valid strat. I was on the receiving end several times in the past to practice and get better at it stealing from others and making sure that my treasures are not stolen. I'm curious now, how does reporting work? How would they verify if something is indeed fishy and how would they punish the accused player if found guilty? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Nov 2020 06:07 AM PST I couldn't find a better pace to post this,so here are my ideas for additional revolutions in AoE 3 (DE) Central America (British,Spanish) Guyanas (French,British,Dutch)
Somalia (French,British) Cameroon (German,French,British) Congo (French,Portugese) Arabia (British,Ottomans) Vietnam (French,Chinese) Mongolia (Russians,Chinese) Korea (Chinese,Japanese) New Guinea (Dutch,British,German) Morocco (French,Portugese,Spanish) Guinea (Portugese,British,French) Feel free to leave whatever thoughts you have [link] [comments]
Do connectivity issues exist outside of my own internet? Posted: 20 Nov 2020 05:26 PM PST I moved and the internet where I'm staying is about 60-150 ping and super spikey, which is why I'm playing aoe3 again. My ping sucks but for rts games I don't mind so much. However, anytime I attempt to play multiplayer in aoe3 there are seconds long delays until my units move or upgrades start. Sometimes the units won't even move at all. It's basically impossible to issue commands in a battle. Is this just my problem or is this something happening to a lot of people? [link] [comments]
