- The AI is bad now. Esemble Studios old developers should assist the DE team with fixing this mess. ANYWAY TO REVERT BACK HOTFIX 6159???? The AI is just walking in circles now. My units were not moving anymore. The game did not let me resign.

Posted: 13 Nov 2020 09:57 AM PST Just encountered a new bug where villagers walk to ally town & gather resources at start of game for no reason. Then respawned villagers ignore gathering point & again walk to ally base. It was already annoying with all the crashes, not able to check decks in lobby, queueing 15-20 minutes for ranked just to get "failed to establish connection" at matchmaking & back to requeue over & over. Villagers garrison in town & ungarison or clicking villagers in town won't get them out bug, lobby being bugged multiple times & rehosting over & over. so many performance issues & I'm sure there's many many bugs I haven't encountered yet, so for my sanity's sake ima go play other games till some of these gets resolved. I have played every age game on release & this by far has been the worst imo. They could have waited a month or two. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 13 Nov 2020 06:25 PM PST The latest update has disabled all kinds of mods on multiplayer, no matter if it's sound-only, and while that's understandable, it's infuriating as well because that was the solution I found to avoid the complete utter crap that is the voice acting for the native civs, returning the voices to the original. Did anybody try to edit the files without the modding feature, so it does not get recognized as a mod, so one could play the multiplayer without worries? [link] [comments] | ||
Unit & Economic Upgrades - does order matter? Posted: 13 Nov 2020 01:32 PM PST I'm wondering whether the order in which you buy technology upgrades for units/buildings(hitpoint upgrades)/gathering rates are affected by the order in which you use the cards/buy the upgrades. For example, lets say a musketeer starts out with 100HP, and you have a card which increases HP by 50% and the veteran upgrade which adds 10%. If you upgrade with the card first, you'll have 150HP total and 10% of that with the veteran upgrade makes 165HP. But, if you do it the other way around, it would be 10% veteran upgrade which equals 110HP, and then the 50X card is ...165HP. Ok, so I think I just answered my own question, but in case I'm wrong here, can you answer? I.e is there a total upper limit for HP (and other upgrades such as attack) no matter which way you use the cards/upgrades? [link] [comments] | ||

I drunkenly downloaded AOE 3 but online playing is so new to me. I know the gist of AOE, and I played the single player on AOE3 many times but I'm so confused about the multiplayer. I've Google and done what they said but everyone keeps saying I'm a noob and kicking me - I wanna play, but I don't know how to be a better multi-players. Can u guys help me with links or suggestsions to be better going from the first version to this foreign version to me literally 15 years later or more??? God damn. Posted: 13 Nov 2020 07:38 AM PST Basically the title. I manages to find i other people who enjoy the gameso we are often in 4v4s and 3v3s depending on timing. I am a somewhat okay 1v1player, with my ranking being just a few points below 1200 usually. I do love a good team game, but we yet have to come to the point where we pull of these crazy team plays where you combine civ bonuses for some outrageous maneuvers. Request: * Give us a hot key / command, similar to an attack move, to have your selected units attack units of a selected type - not a specific unit. I.e. you select your skirmisher units or a selection of various units, and hot key them to attack your enemies heavy infantry unit type. So instead of your skirms attacking any unit in sight they direct their fire to multiple units of the type you selected to attack. Love the game, time period, and uniqueness and depth of play styles.
