    It puzzles me we don't have a politician to incentivize minor natives but instead we have a grandpa for a balloon

    I'll create a topic about it later, but minor natives and mercenaries are just too "off" in this game since TAD came out. It's one of the things that frustrates me about the DE. In my mind Minor Natives should always be a possibility on the table, however, the game is so frozen on the same paths that makes them forgotten by the players (and worse: by the devs who decied to polish the game).

     

    REMOVE The Inventor

    Seriously. Just why does it even exist? The balloon is a gimmick so situational and particular that creating a Politician just to turn it "less bad" makes me think they didn't have anything else in mind to fill the spot.

     

    ADD a politician to help with minor native

    "The Emissary"/"The Translator"/"The Diplomat"/"Whatever the name you can think of":

    • Receives 1 trade post wagon (for settlements only) + trade post that are built on settlements are built 25% faster;
    • "Home city cards about Minor Natives arrive 25% faster" OR "natives techs are researched 25% faster";
    • Receives a couple of natives based upon the map you are playing.

    When reching the Imperial we could have instead:

    "The Emissary"/"The Translator"/"The Diplomat":

    • Receives 1 trade post wagon (for settlements only) + trade post that are built on settlements are built 25% faster;
    • "Home city cards about Minor Natives arrive 25% faster" OR "natives techs are researched 25% faster";
    • Receives a small shipment of natives based upon the map you are playing.

    Hey everyone! I've been playing AOE3 for yearsssss and have also played AOE2, age of myth, but only really played by myself / vs AI.

    I can play expert against AI (which gives me a run for my money!) so like I'm not horrible at the game but I always wondered how that translates to a human? Also, is there a video that can sort of help explain some intricacies to the game? I remember seeing one for AOE2 that discussed what to do the first 10 min etc.

    I'm hoping it'll help my gameplay. Or if anyone else has other tips, that'd be great!

    Why do more people play AoE2 over 3? And I have a few more questions.

    I played AoE2 for many years but took a break from RTS games for a while. Played MMORPGs for years but getting burn out from NPCs telling me to do this and do that. I am getting that RTS itch again and just wondering why do more people play AoE2 over 3? Shouldn't the latest installment of the game be better?

    When I played AoE2, I played on Voobly for multiplayer. Is that still the place where I can find players for online play?

    I am looking at a winter sale on Steam. But there are many different versions of AoE. I want to get the AoE version that everyone is playing, or that most people are playing. Is it AoE2 definitive edition or the regular version? And what is the difference between the two?

    Looking for treaty partners!

    hey! most of the time when i queue for 40 min treaties, half the players i get matched with dont actually know how to play treaty so im looking for some ppl to play treaty with. i live on the us west coast and usually play ottos, sometimes french

    Does anyone play 20 minute treaty or is the queue dead?

    Title. I don't like 40 minute treaty because it takes an eternity. 20 Minute treaty is a good compromise in that it's enough time to max out your economy and get to imperial, but isn't a snooze fest for 20 minutes.

    Bolas Warrior

    Hey guys just wanted to ask everyones opinion on the viability of the Inca's Bolas warrior.

    Does the Colla Support card in Age IV make the bola warrior a sort of Incan Musketeer? How effective is it now that they only cost 1pop.

    I usually spam chimu warriors and bowmen. Just wanted to diversify more and see peoples experience effectiveness.

    AOE 3 DE on the M1?

    Was able to get AOE 3 DE working single-player on the mac M1 by following these instructions (runs great): https://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/comments/k3ac4y/aoe2de_on_osx_using_crossover/

    But can't seem to get multiplayer working. Every time I get in game I get an "Out of Sync" error.

    Any thoughts?

    Hey guys, like the title says. I "subscribed" to the "higher limits" mods. It's in my "installed mods" thing, but it just wont work. I've restarted a dozen times, still nothing. Pls help. Thanks
