    So I just have a normal build order. When I reach 22 villagers I put a villager forward to build a barracks near my opponents base. At this point I build a mining camp and make sure I put two villagers on gold. I make sure to non stop produce militia that attacks my opponents economy/buildings. My economy at home is primarily focused on hunting/wood/berries and making farms. I make houses with the forward villager so he is not totally useless.

    I click up around 32 pop to Feudal age. Make a second barracks with the forward villager and keep on spamming MIA out of two production buildings, when my opponent makes archers I sometimes let the MIA stick in the building so I surprise him with 20 MIA at once. At home I make a blacksmith to FU my MIA, and put 2 more villagers on gold. By the time they hit Castle Age I send all my MIA to his TC and wreck his TC. So far I have been winning 14 games in a row with this tactic. I just lost one game because someone send scout's to my completly open base 11.

    Any critique/improvements?

    Playing in teams with battle royale mode

    Hey all,

    Been playing BR with friends vs AI and having a lot of fun. One option I would like to have is that teammates can't take over your buildings.

    Is there a way in the settings I can disable this? When one of my teammates just pass my buildings, he takes it over.

    1V1 moderate AI and 2V2 Moderate AI and 1V2 Moderate AI (HD Version)

    Hi!

    I'm a 1000 elo player and I beat moderate HD AI everytime very easy. But 1v2 and 2V2 with my friend, moderate AI is not moderate AI. Its completely different and plays like a 1500 elo player. 5 rams at 30 min, with full force, 4000 points and everything. Full castle age and microing like god. Repairing rams, attacking repairing villagers, finding gaps at the behind of the wall, scouting, making anti units for my army, all upgraded. Fast castleing also. Have you ever noticed that? It happened also in 1v2 too.

    using buildings as walls

    Hi all, I'm a pretty new player and I noticed in a lot of videos that people tend to place their buildings in a way so that they function as a wall. Now, I wondered, if you would get attacked and they destroy these buildings, wouldn't you get screwed by that? Especially if it were houses, cause you would get housed, or maybe it were your barracks and now you can't immediatly respond with spreamen if he trained cavalry. Surely I'm missing something.

    Anyone care to enlighten me?

    Hi Guys. As I begin my journey of learning this game I have a question. I was looking at some of my old repays looking for reasons why I lose games and I came across a player who's knights had a 10+4 attack and another knight only had a 10 attack.

    The only thing I can think of is he has a hill bonus? I checked my knight and he didnt have the plus 4 attack. Is it some type of Lithuanian bonus?

    A couple weeks ago I posted some "graphical build orders" that I made in Excel, and more people than I expected responded positively.

    It was also suggested that the project be opened up for collaboration, but the Excel method I had used was very cumbersome and awkward. So, I made a python script to do it instead!

    When to build Castle when Fast Castle->Knights or 12p Scouts->Knights with Franks

    Frank player here playing mostly Team RM. My game is pretty solid until Mid-Castle Age with consistent 2 Stable Knights production pressuring an enemy player. My dillemma comes when I need to transition to Late Castle / Imp. I probably need to build a castle to take advantage of Unique upgrades, but lacking enough stone when I realize I need one - when should I add stone vils? And how many? Any other games/materials you'd recommend to look at to improve my game?

    Software Dev here looking for a side project. What's the AOE2 DE scene missing?

    To be clear, I am not a Game Dev and I do not work on AOE2 DE.

    I am a software dev looking for a side project. What do you wish the AO2 DE community had? Here are some examples:

    1. Player tracker - To show insights on any player, similar to how COD tracker does for Call of Duty.
    2. Civ comparision tool
    3. Graphs and charts reflecting your performance over time
    4. Is there anything you wish https://aoe2.net/ had, but doesn't?
    5. Find out when the best players are playing?
    6. Usage of CIVs stats

    I played a lot of Age of Empires as a kid. I played AOE2 HD at a very low competitive level. I have not played AOE2 DE a lot. I just started to play it and would like to get involved.

    I once created a Google Assistant app which gives you a counter to a Unit when you ask for it. Is that something that might still interest players? I guess this will be for the more casual players.

    How do I beat the Hard AI?

    So I've recently gotten the definitive edition after not playing the HD one for over 2 years. I've been able to easily win against the moderate AI by doing a drush and going to man at arms in feudal age and denying all their military buildings, and then going caslte age and putting a castle next to their TC, after that they usually resign. But when I tried to do this against the Hard AI they just keep spamming trash units like skirms and pikes and I have a hard time being able to push against them. Any tips?

    Help: Can't join or host any game AoE2 DE

    I am playing AoE2 DE via Steam. I am unable to join or host games. Not sure what the issue is. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling steam / Aoe2 DE and it didn't work.

    Hybrid map build order

    I've been improving a lot based on advice from this sub, so thanks for the help! Still struggling to break 1050 regularly but a month or 2 ago I was struggling to stay above 950 so we're getting there. My question today is - I've mostly banned maps with water up till now to limit variables while I'm still learining. Would anyone have recommendations for a basic hybrid map strategy to start with, or videos focusing on this? Thinking mostly about 4 Lakes in the ranked pool for now. I know it's good to fish, but the last few times I've played on a map with water, I end up screwing myself by not really having enough resources to make vils OR fishing ships lmao.
