Shock Infantry really needs to be fixed, in a Design way. Posted: 05 Jan 2021 08:53 PM PST Newer or even some Older Players have problem with the Shock Infantry, and gets confused themself, while some would be getting used to how stuff works, sometimes the game needs to get it's stuff public and not hidden. Did you know that Dragoons have a Attack Bonus Against Coyote Runner and Chimu Runners?same with Skirmishers having Hidden Bonus against Eagle Runner Knights. it's in the Data "BUT" not in the game, as when you hover to it, the Dragoon only have a bonus against "Hand Cavalry", but with a Symbol of a Cavalry which is used by the Pikemen who get Bonus for "Cavalry" What I think they should do.

Posted: 05 Jan 2021 02:06 PM PST I've played AOE 3 for over 10 years mainly against the AIs which were poor strategically and had lapses that could be taken advantage of. I know the basics of unit strengths and most civs advantages on classic. However now that I picked up the DE I'd like to play online again and not consistently get defeated for not knowing the optimum civs and shipments. In general I like to sit back and boom and then overwhelm, and against AIs I could focus entirely on eco and then switch to pumping out units. I've read enough to know I don't micromanage enough to properly kite my skirms for example and if I focus on military my eco falls apart or vice versa. Any advice? [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jan 2021 09:55 AM PST I'd like to see deeper stats, like villager kills. Villager count in timeline can't be 100% accurate. When I watch my chimus take out 8 villies and the villager pop timeline doesn't really reflect that I'm a bit bummed. [link] [comments]
I made a unit datasheet, if anyone is interested Posted: 05 Jan 2021 08:16 PM PST https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LdiFZ4ycdg4fIopRS-gqk5DGV0cFnBcV4av0gVyDifc/edit?usp=sharing I've been doing this for a while, thinking I might find something interesting to try in the game. ...It kinda did the opposite though. This never meant to contribute to anything other than myself, so please don't have too much faith in this! I'll be happier if this makes anybody a little more comfortable to get into the game, or provide something to talk about. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2021 02:20 AM PST Quite new to otto. I mained the lakota before, but since i play teamgames quite regularly, i hate their bad mid to lategame eco. Wanted to try a new approach and i feel quite comfortable with the ottoman units. So far i have two strats working for me, jan rush with two racks up and the ff combined with spahi and cannons. I heard about a FI strat that utilises church techs and has a timing almost similar to a swedish BB FI. I am happy for any answers, for both 1v1 and team games. [link] [comments]
How to improve speed of game on Mac Posted: 06 Jan 2021 12:51 AM PST I was just wondering if anyone had any tips to improve lag issues with AOE3 on Mac. I love playing the game but it seems to move much slower than I'd like. Is there a way to fix this? Or should I shell out the extra cash for a PC? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2021 12:25 AM PST What do you think about adding new timelines? resources count, (no accumulative, like AoM), kills or adding wonders icons are some ideas. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jan 2021 05:19 PM PST It is my understanding that on the original aoe3 game there was a map called "Time to Micro" that allowed players to practice their micro skills. Does anyone know if an analog exists for DE at this point, and if so where can I find it? [link] [comments]
Attack Moving with lots of Gurkha (skirmisher) Posted: 05 Jan 2021 03:37 AM PST I am new to AOE 3 so maybe this is a known issue - But every time I mass gurkhas (30-60 units) and put them on a control group and then use attack move, they seem to fire but then keep bashing against themselves for quite a bit. Also it looks like the ones in the back sometimes don't fire or get stuck with pathing issues. Is it okay to have a control group for so many units and give an attack move order. Or should I divide them into two groups and have some spacing between the groups and then use attack move? [link] [comments] |
