    How good, or bad, is Extreme AI on treaty?

    I've been playing 20 minute treaties on Extreme AI. I usually win, but it's still competitive up until around 45 minutes in when I have more resources coming in that them (or at least more army coming out).

    I tried a 30 minute treaty on Extreme again today, and it was way too easy. At one point I had about 60k in score while they had 19k.

    I've noticed, though, that sometimes the AI's score can be very different at any particular point of the game. I don't know if it's dependant on the civ they are or what, but the game I just had felt like I was playing against Moderate on Treaty.

    What's up with this? Is the AI bad at 30 minutes plus? Is it dependant on the civ they play as?

    Friendly neighborhood blind guy here.

    I've recently downloaded AOE3 definitive edition on Steam due to hearing about their integration of text to speech.

    I've noticed scrolling through the hotkeys is a task in itself, but I was wondering if maybe I'm just an idiot in my search for mods that would make game play a little easier and make certain things in the menu more accessible with TTS.

    Or if there isn't a mod, if anyone is up to the challenge, or knows where I may find someone that is.

    I haven't been able to play a AAA game in over a decade, and the fact that some games are starting to include accessibility features gives me hope, but would just like to start enjoying full game play.

    T town center hotkey conflict

    I prefer to use T as town center hotkey but when Im French and press T to train skirms in barracs the T moves to town center instead of training skirms. How should I do this if I like to press T to get to town center but T conflicts with other stuff.

    New China Build Order

    Has anyone tested out a new China build order to take advantage of the German consulate change?

    I've been: Building two villages Sending the 1vil per village/TC card Aging with 15 vils a bit after 3 minutes Banner army wonder Chopping 400 wood for consulate and barracks in transition Sending good faith agreements Allying with Germany ASAP and getting the wood trickle and later the food trickle Pumping out age 2 armies

    By the time I hit age 3 it feels like I have a stronger eco, but I'm not sure if this is an optimal strategy

    Anyone have any ideas on how to go about modding the game to increase Unit Select limit??

    Ive been using the AoE3 scenario editor to actually do some turnbased hotseat Napoleonic wargaming with a friend on my laptop (Will post pics later, its loads of fun! and doesn't have the hassle of losing pieces etc)

    Lately whats been bugging me is just the fact that theres a 50 unit select limit which is really annoying when we're trying to make a grand tactical maneuver and advance/withdraw several regiments at once.

    Where in the games code could I possibly change this limit?

    Hello guys,
    I deceided to throw myself into the Scenario Editor aof Age of Empires III DE, which is pretty much the same as the one of AoE3 TAD, and I really could use some help. I want to recreate many of the incredible scenario maps we had on the ESO of AoE3 TAD but I ran into some issues/knowledge gaps and I am pretty sure, that there has to be at least one person, that cracked this thing so here I go:

    I am currently working on a refined version of the good old colloseum mode and I have some genral and some specific questions for you:

    General Question 1:
    Is there a list/wiki of all Trigger causes and effects, which includes a short description how to use it? I found one document online, that is from 2005, but Id like a more updated source if any of you know anything. There is so much stuff and not everything is self evident so a little anything is appreciated!

    General Question 2:
    I had a few triggers (experimentally) up and running and they worked as intended, when i tested them first, but then I tested the scenario a second time and they stopped working all together. I checked the triggers individually and all seem fine to me. Additionally I did not edit all of them before I tested the scenario a second time, so at least one of them should have worked. Is this a common bug or am I doing something wrong? Do you know, what causes it or how to fix it?

    Specific Question 1:
    I need to kick a player if a building is destroyed (Collosseum duh..). I found the effect for that, but I lack the appropriate cause for this trigger. I tried to use the "damaged below x%" cause with damage received >=100% but it did not work. The according building is the source Unit for the Trigger, but I guess that "unit" excludes buidlings, though it lets me store the building as source Unit (Which I know, because I set it as Source Unit and then clicked "show" and it jumped to the building = it saved it as Source Unit). Do you have any idea how to do this or how it was done in previous colloseums? I have yet to get my hands on a file of these on this computer.

    Specific Question 2:
    How do I make a Building or Unit invulnerable to damage? There is a Trigger Effect, called "Make Unit Invulnerable" But it does not seem to work on buildings (though all my triggers went down in the test, I ran to check if it would, so I am not sure about that.

    Specific Question 3:
    How do I edit the stats of a Unit? Like give it more HP or Boost its damage? Do I have to spawn it in with a Trigger and enter the adjustments there? If so, what arguments would I use for that?
