Talking on the post-game statistics page Posted: 09 Mar 2021 03:56 PM PST Please add. It would be nice to talk to everyone after the game on the statistics page. This was possible in the original AOE3. [link] [comments]

What's with the AI bullies? :( Posted: 09 Mar 2021 05:41 AM PST I'm doing some skirmishes as I'm trying to figure out which nations I like the most, naturally I set it to free-for-all and a game size of 6-8 players. Why is it that every single time, I get rushed by 3-4 AI? I'll admit it's decent practice, but it gets kind of frustrating when it's the same pattern every time. I know there's a treaty mechanic I could use, and I will probably try it later when a friend will be joining me. :) [link] [comments]

The Magical Economy of the Brazilian Revolution Posted: 09 Mar 2021 06:59 AM PST Brazil is awesome. I don't know how competitive they are, but they're a really fascinating in-between of the "ditch your economy" and the "keep your economy" Revolutions. When you Revolt as Brazil, your Town Centers immediately begin training free batches of Revolutionaries (Voluntários da Pátria), worth roughly 3 food per second per Town Center. If you're Portuguese and you still have your 4 free Town Centers active, then you start your Revolution generating roughly 12 food per second which is worth around 14 Settlers Hunting. Not only that though, you get 200 pop cap for free (rather than needing to build 1,600 Wood worth of Houses) as well as access to a set of really powerful cards in your new Home City of Rio de Janeiro. One of these cards is an Infinite 2 Town Center Wagon card that adds +2 to your Town Center Build Limit. This functions like a Factory shipment, granting an extra 6 f/s worth of troops every 2 minutes. Another card they get is Minas Gerais, which grants a 3.3 Coin-per-second trickle and lets you train Settlers for 70 Coin a piece. Brazil also gets a card that sends 10 Cows and 10 Jaguncos (Jaguncos are basically 1-pop Rifle Riders that cost 120 Food). Your Jaguncos can harvest Cows at the same rate that Settlers can, so the total value of the shipment is around 1700 Food. There's a similar but Infinite card available that sends 8 pre-fattened Cows with 200 Food each on them + 1 Jagunco + 1 Homestead Wagon that can build Estates or other Economic buildings. If you build an Estate, the Homestead Wagon is effectively worth 600 Wood, and the Cows and Jagunco are worth roughly 2,000 Food combined. Brazil has a few other cards but most of them aren't super valuable. The "Guard of Honor" card unfortunately gives your Dragoons a minimum range for their Ranged attack, so if they're attacked in Melee they'll automatically switch to their new Melee attack (which is bad if they're fighting enemy Cavalry in melee), though they do become better in melee against their traditional counters, the Skirmisher. As the Portuguese, it also grants the Guard Dragoons upgrade (worth 600 Wood and 600 Coin), but if you want to get the +10% from your Jinete upgrade then you'll still need to spend the 1,000 Wood and 1,000 Coin for that minor boost. As the Dutch, you just get your Guard Ruyter upgrade worth full value. (Don't tell anyone, but Guard of Honor doesn't cost a Shipment to send!) The Legendary Native Warriors card is great if you're using Native Warriors from the map you're on (saving yourself 1,500 Food and 1,500 Wood), but your shippable Tupi Blackwood Archers won't get upgraded to Legendary unless you happen to be on a map that already has Tupi on it. (Also, don't tell the devs but this card doesn't cost a Shipment either!) Also, when you Revolt you get a ton of really weak Revolutionary units (the Voluntários da Pátria). One neat trick is that if you're being attacked and have your Settlers garrisoned, they transform into Revolutionaries but stay garrisoned and shooting for full Settler damage (which is often superior to having them fighting outside of your Town Centers). Like I said, I don't know if the Brazilian Revolution is super competitive or not but it's definitely super fun (I've been able to get 11-minute Brazils as Portugal even when defending a rush). One of the problems I've found is that if I send a ton of Town Centers then I'll have a massive constantly replenishing army of fast-moving Musketeers but if I train any troops myself then I'll end up blocking recruitment due to pop cap which costs a lot of resource value. One solution I've found for that is to just send all of my resources to a teammate, but that's inherently inefficient. TL;DR: Brazil lets you keep part of your economy upon Revolting and eventually ship enough pseudo-Factories to totally overwhelm your opponent in terms of economic value. Anyway, just wanted to share some of the quirks of this Revolution that aren't necessarily stated openly. Has anyone else tried out Brazil much? [link] [comments]

Indian + Japanese treaty plan for cows and fur trading as a team Posted: 09 Mar 2021 07:37 AM PST Japanese player can make use of 88 cows for their shrines and can get them from Indian player. Without Goraksha card, 88 cows at 125 each cow = 11000 food
With Goraksha card, 88 cows at 100 each = 8800 food
With the above math, what's the best of the following 4 options?
In any case, should Indian player use the Goraksha card or save the card slot? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Mar 2021 07:09 AM PST Is there any site where i can compare two units, according to age? [link] [comments]
