    Toxic isn't funny

    Posted: 11 Mar 2021 07:22 PM PST

Just chased a guy for 15 minutes cause I outplayed him and he wouldn't resign. He's the 3rd toxic player I've played tonight. A tc walling ally, an afk ally, and and this guy who walled his vills in the corner and microed them. I am a teacher with two little kids. I don't have time for people who are going to act like children too. If you don't wanna play, don't play ranked. 3 out of 3 games with a troll. I don't get to play much, please don't waste my time.

What happened to all Korean players?

    Posted: 12 Mar 2021 03:09 AM PST

So I started following AoE2 last year, and I was checking the tournament wins of the 2000s (yeah I know Daut was still playing then), plus I saw Nilli's video on All-time greatest AoE2 players and there were a bunch of South Korean players.
What happened to all those players? I mean sure they retired and all, but there isn't even a single top-ranked Korean player right now.

I've tried 10+ times to defeat yellow, and my ENTIRE army got wiped out time and again. They are seriously getting on my nerves!!! Frankish Paladins are literally some very tanky monsters. Playing it on hard.

    How did you defeat them?

How to see Queen's Clash Tournament?

    Posted: 12 Mar 2021 03:15 AM PST

This may be a very stupid question, but I don't know how to watch live the game between momo and CharChar. According to liquipedia, they are playing right now. But if I go to the streamers channels, or to the aoe web link, they are not broadcasting anything. Am I missing something, maybe you can't watch it live and can only watch the replay with commentators afterward?

    Thanks

_Raiden_ vs Spring fantastic showmatch Saturday @18GMT! — live on _Ra_, bruh, Grathwrang, SpringTV

    Posted: 12 Mar 2021 04:49 AM PST

    THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS

7 games played, aggressive maps only ☠️.

Raiden aka Hasan is an old-school expert who came back on AoE2 DE on February 10th. Both a super aggressive player and a strategist, he was known to be very fast, and to possess a stellar micro and army control. He was part of the Immortals clan back then, along with Ra, Chris, slam, Hera, etc. 🏹

See great games of Hasan vs slam or Lojza

His challenger is Spring, an american player who also played thousands and thousants of games on Voobly under his [sT'] (sick tactics) clan, and recently improved a lot, by reaching 2k1 on both his accounts, as a result of intensive ladder practise shared on his awesome Twitch channel. 👑

The maps will be Arabia (Hun War, no walls), Acropolis, Steppe, Serengeti, Mediterranean, Atacama and Budapest.

The Seven Deadly Sins is a promise of a fantastic show with two pros paired with casters that are pro players themselves (Ra, bruh), so I wouldn't miss the games!

If you CAN and you want to contribute further, click THIS LINK to contribute to the prize pool, one dollar goes a long way —

100% of the donations go to our players Hasan and Spring! 💸

Thanks to the SpringTV community's generosity, 100$ will be added to the prize pool just before the showmatch.

Watch The Seven Deadly Sins this Saturday @18GMT on:

    Ra's channel bruh's channel Grathwrang's channel Spring's channel

See you on Saturday, for your taste of epic, unbrindled expert 1v1 action on open maps! ⚔️

AOE2 Franks Double Castle Drop Into Siege Build Order - Strategy Guide

    Posted: 12 Mar 2021 01:12 AM PST

[Discussion/Question] To competitive AOE2 players: why do you personally enjoy this game?

    Posted: 11 Mar 2021 09:09 AM PST

Not a facetious or rhetorical question, genuinely curious about why people enjoy AOE2 competitively compared to other games like Starcraft, MOBAs, Total War series, turn-based games like Civ. I'm pretty new to AOE2 DE, but I've played the game quite a bit from childhood

I think most of us grew up with this game. I played the campaigns casually and ~15 years later I'm revisiting it with more interest in competitive 1v1. I played ranked Starcraft 2 a few years ago, I was diamond ranked on 1v1, but did not enjoy to an incredible extent as it got stressful at that level. So I'm enjoying low level AOE2 ladder play but uncertain so far how committed I want to be

What aspects about the game make it enjoyable for you? The art? The strategies/meta? Diversity of play styles? Good balance of micro and macro?
