| Add a way to reconect to a multiplayer match. Posted: 19 Apr 2021 05:14 AM PDT So my game crashed for the second time in a multiplayer game, in a 4 vs 4, and i just can't rejoin the game. Have been playing the game for 90+ hours on DE Edition and it has never crash. Now in 1 week it has crashed 2 times. The option to reconect its basic, but its even more important if the game keep crashing. [link] [comments] | ||

| The dirtiest trick in the game. The fake GG. Posted: 18 Apr 2021 10:50 AM PDT I just had an opponent call a false GG, and it feels really bad. It was in the middle of a critical engagement, and my opponent says simply "gg". I reply gg, relax with my micro, meanwhile my opponent turned up the heat and won the fight decisively. In retrospect, he may have been calling a reverse gg rather than a fake gg, meaning he was calling gg for me since he was certain he would win. Either way, it's a really shitty way to end a game, and is highly unsportsmanlike and toxic. I can deal with salt and rudeness, but for some reason this particular incident really left me feeling bad. It's not as 'strong' of a move as disconnecting to prevent a loss, but calling gg for the opponent in the middle of an intense fight, where it is totally unclear if the game is over is a total dick move. /rant [link] [comments] | ||

When I was younger I'd watch my family on LAN play age of empires 2 all the time and I always wanted to learn and play. I enjoy the game I used to watch spirit of the law a lot. Before the Definitive edition I had around 50 hours poured into it on Steam. I recently bought the Definitive edition however I cannot get into it as much as I can other RTS games. I've always tried however I've never been as dedicated as to say Paradox games. (1000 hours in EU4 and 600 in HOI4.) I want the same level of dedication in this game as well and I love all the aspects of the game. I just wonder am I going about playing it wrong? Is there something I'm missing? Is it that I need to find people to play with? I love games like these but I struggle to get into this one. I think part of it is that I don't feel like I can play as casually as other RTS games. Maybe it's just me. Any help, advice, or comments would be greatly appreciated! (P.S. sorry for my lack of English skills it isn't my first language.) [link] [comments] | ||

| An interesting idea for a civ bonus Posted: 19 Apr 2021 03:02 AM PDT What do you think of gaining 50% of the cost of an enemie building when destroyed, eg 50 wood for destroying a mill or 375 stone for destroying a castle. That will encourage Maa and/or all in castle age strat with siege and would fit well an infantry and/or siege civ. Just image a goth-like or Celt-like civ with that bonus. [link] [comments] | ||

Custom scenarios have to have exact amount of players set e.g 4 players, or 8 players. Ideally, I'm looking to make a map where it's 8 players, but say if you only had 6 people, that would work as well. Is there any trigger conditions that I suppose identify whether it is a player or AI or empty slot? I'm a fairly casual player that just got back into aoe, but I thought moderate wouldn't be so hard. After re-learning some build orders and booming effectively I finally got a W. | STILL not getting any Xbox achievements Posted: 19 Apr 2021 01:16 AM PDT All mods disabled, PC completely reinstalled. Just finished the Tamerlane campaign, the Tatar victory achievement is still not unlocked. None of the still locked achievements get unlocked. Played a random map against ai with Tatars and Malay, both of them did not unlock. I have this problem for a year now. When will this finally be fixed? [link] [comments] | ||
