Walls - shooting behind it

Does a wall give you any advantage if you shoot your enemey and he shoots back at you from the other side? Only thinking about ranged damage not melee.

Are the servers really lousy today or is it my internet?

Just went and played a 1v1, and every minute or so I would disconnect for 10-15 seconds at a time which of course was very frustrating as it would mean I'd waste units. In the end I was up like 42-14k score and then my opponent resigned due to connection loss, but it was pretty much over at that point. Not sure if it was a ragequit or they were lagging too.
