Why are there hardly any shipments of Asian units for European civs, even though would be historically relevant? Posted: 25 Jun 2021 06:42 PM PDT The historical battle campaign reminded me of the fact that the Russians came in conflict (like, again) with the Mongolian successor states very early in the AoE3 time period. So why no unit shipments/unlock techs for Steppe Riders and Keshiks at all? While Asian civs have generous access to European units it's very lackluster the other way around. It made sense in vanilla when it was all about the American frontier, but with the focus shifting on ALL of the world the Brits for example not having access to a nice shipment of Gurkhas in Industrial Age feels like a complete oversight. Some more possible additions which would make sense for both history and gameplay: A set of strong (East) Asian mercs for the Germans (Industrial) A shipment of Rajputs for the Ports (Fortress?) A (very small) shipment of Mahout Lancers for the Dutch (one for Fortress or two for Industrial?) An army consisting of both Indian camel units for the Ottos (Industrial) A shimpment of 5 Samurai (maybe including Yumi, either 4+2 or 3+4) for Dutch and Ports (Fortress) A large shipment of Ashigaru for the Germans and United States (Industrial) submitted by /u/Alias_X_ [link] [comments]
