Posted: 06 Oct 2021 06:57 PM PDT To get started, the Thin Red Line is a Church Upgrade that increase Infantry Hitpoints by 20% of it's base stats, but reduce Speed by 25%. When looking at the British trainable infantry units, the Longbowman gained 19 Hitpoints, Pikeman gained 24 Hitpoints, Musketeer gained 30 Hitpoints, and Grenadier Gained 40 Hitpoints, by looking at it, the only one getting some decent hitpoint upgrade is the Musketeer and Grenadier. however there's the -25% Speed, which reduces the speed of Longbowman, Musketeer, and Grenadier by -1(3 Speed), while Pikeman gained a big hit of -1.25(3.75 speed). But what does that 20% health will get you?, against some comparable units it's like TRL British Musketeers Enemy Musketeers in ranged attack would need 7,8 Shot rather than 6,5 to down a TRL Musketeer. Enemy Hussar would need to hit 7.5 Times rather than 6.25 to down a TRL Musketeer Enemy Crossbowman would need 9 Shots rather than 7,5 shots. Enemy Age II Skirmisher would need 6 shots Rather than 5 shots. While this sounded like your TRL Musketeers can take 1 more hit, which is a massive advantage in early game, maneuverability is also important, due to the speed you can get kited really easily and would take more shots in the process, and the enemy could just run away from your musketeer, and even your Pikeman have less speed than a normal infantry(4 Speed) TRL British Pikeman Enemy Musketeers need 6,26 shots rather than 5.2 shots to down a TRL Pikeman Enemy Hussar need 5.3 hits rather than 4.4 hits. Enemy Crossbowman would need 7.2 shots rather than 6 shots. Enemy Age II Skirmisher would need 4.8 shots rather than 4 shots. While it sounded the same, TRL Pikeman really lacked the speed, and due to being a melee unit, even Crossbowman can outrun them due to their reduced Speed. TRL British Longbowman Enemy Musketeers need 7.08 shots rather than 5.9 shots, mostly due to their 30% Ranged resistance. Enemy Hussar need 3.8 hits rather than 3.1 hits, which is the same number of hits(4 hits), plus your Longbowman cannot really escape due to their 3 Speed, even if you left a few to be snared so that most can escape. Enemy Crossbowman need 10.1 shots rather than 8.4 shots, still carried by the 30% Ranged resistance. Enemy Age II Skirmishers need 10.8 shots rather than 9.04 shots, Age II Skirmisher have 1 less attack than Crossbowman, but have higher range. In Conclusion the 20% Hitpoints bonus might sound great for the Longbowman, but it's heavily carried by the Longbowman 30% Ranged Resistance, as longbowman could be melted with melee by Hussars and other melee units with no chance of even escaping such situations, and there's the Veteran Longbowman that also gives +20% Hitpoints & Attack. TRL British Grenadiers Musketeers would need 17.3 shots rather than 14.4 shots, somewhat carried by the Grenadier high hitpoints(thus getting the most of the hitpoints bonus) and his 40% Ranged Resistance. Hussars would need 8 Hits rather than 6.6 hits. Crossbowman would need 20 shots rather than 16.6 shots, while the Crossbowman have 25% damage bonus against Grenadier due to being a heavy Infantry, the grenadier have 40% Ranged resistance which nullify the bonus damage. Age II Skirmishers would need 13.3 shots rather than 11.11 shots, mostly due to Skirmisher's 100% damage bonus against Grenadier, but the 40% ranged resistance still helped. While the Grenadier gets more bonus from the upgrade, remember that they're quite expensive and still very slow. [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Oct 2021 06:14 PM PDT I play mainly India and I cannot get past 1200 elo. I just win 2 times and lose 2 times rinse and repeat. My build order is relatively simple. I send distributism, put my fort near the center of the map sort of close to my base, send 700 wood, drop down consulate, send export, get Hussars then villagers from consulate, and send coin to age up. Before my coin arrives I usually make about 10 - 15 Gurkhas or Zamburaks, research some market techs, and age up with the Charminar Gate. I age up at around 10 - 11 minutes and continue making units and send unit shipments. I usually lose to 2 falconet pushes where I cannot get my Siege Elephants in time, or a all in timing attack where the opponent has 40 units at 8 minutes. Is there anything I can improve on in my build order, unit composition, or is India just bad or hard to play? [link] [comments]
What's the difference between Food Silos and Sustainable Agriculture cards? Posted: 06 Oct 2021 12:14 PM PDT Both have "Mill +15%, Farm +15%, Rice Paddy (food) +15%". And Furrier (Age 1) and Spice Trade (Age 2) also sounds the same [link] [comments]

Hardest Ai civ to play against Posted: 06 Oct 2021 04:19 AM PDT I,ve been always a casual player and i use the ai matches to see how hard i can set up the match and still wining. For now i see i can win matches against others civ in hard mode and 10% handicap. But i also depends on what civ i play against. So i would like to know which civilizations are hardest to beat playing agains the machine. I tried playaing against Otomans playing as Franch and i was defeated and it seems Otomans is a hard civ to play against. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Oct 2021 07:50 AM PDT I purchased the USA Civ pack and it has installed but it won't unlock in game. Does anyone have a fix for that issue? Purchased in Xbox store [link] [comments] |
