- Dear teammates, I’m terribly sorry. Note: I checked and my graphics drivers are up to date. Just really sucks cuz I’m sure my team thinks I rage quit or something. Great way to not have anyone to play with
- Best Healer

- New Civ Tier List??

Posted: 10 Oct 2021 03:53 PM PDT Hello everyone, I realize this isn't an especially relevant question to most (competitive) players, but I was just wondering if there is a healer that is better than the surgeon with the home city card improvement. Thanks in advance for your helpful comments! [link] [comments]
Multiplayer getting more popular? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 08:20 AM PDT About 60 games in the lobby this afternoon. Hopefully they don't all disappear when AOE4 comes out haha. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Oct 2021 07:57 AM PDT The latest patch has had a lot of changes so I have decided to come up with a general tier list for each civilization. Feel free to comment what you think about this list. S: Dutch - Incredible economy, very good military, best civilization overall. Nerf the coin gather bonus. Portugal - Very good economy, complete control of trade route, water boom. Maybe a slight nerf to the TC wagon build time or something. Ethiopia - Even after nerfs their military is still spot on, economy decent, and Sebastopol Mortar. Slight nerf to Gascenya maybe. Japan - Everything you ever need, great economy, great water, great military. Slight nerf to Shrine HP maybe. A: British - Incredible economy like Dutch, but no skirmisher and no fast age up means they are only A tier. Spain - Very good military and fast fortress, free resource crates with logistician. French - Very good all around, Cuirassiers very good. India - Great military, map control, decent economy. Iroquois - Decent economy, great military. Inca - Very good turtle, very good water, strong military, strong economy. B: China - Good economy, weak but spammable military, but awful age up time and overall average. Germany - Very good military, strong fast fortress, but weak age 2 and mediocre economy. Sioux - Decent economy, the best cavalry, but weak infantry and no walls or cannons. United States - Civ needs a rework mechanic wise. Military wise they are pretty good, economy is decent, this civ is going in B tier for now. Sweden - Got nerfed very hard both militarily and economically so they are B tier for now. C: Ottomans - Weak economy, powerful military and fast fortress, but if your timing fails game is over. Needs faster training settlers. Hausa - Same thing with ottomans, very powerful rush but if it fails it is game over. Needs a way to deal with turtle strategies due to the lack of artillery for the civ. Aztecs - Economy is actually pretty good, military is decent, but the lack of cannons, as well as the mediocre mid game makes the Aztecs not too great. Needs some sort of buff to knight units as they are underused. United States - Civ needs a rework mechanic wise. Military wise they are good, economy is decent, this civ is going in C tier for now until further notice. D: Russians - An underpowered civilization, weak rush that can be killed with 5 hussars, very average economy, the only thing this civilization excels at is map control and spamming units. Needs buff to economy mainly and maybe even blockhouse population. Please let me know if I missed anything. By the way the difference between tiers is quite slim. Just because Japan is S tier and Aztecs are C tier does not mean Aztecs have no chance against Japan and it is an automatic loss. Aztecs can still win versus Japan its just that Japan is generally better and more versatile. [link] [comments]
AoE3 on Linux: cards and home city progress not being saved Posted: 10 Oct 2021 08:41 AM PDT Hi all. I recently started playing aoe3 again only this time I have to play on Linux. There is a bug that prevents you from making any progress with your home city. You could win a game and level up but as soon as you go back to the main screen, your home city is unchanged. Card progress and decks don't save either. Interestingly, this happens I'm both vanilla and definitive edition. From what I gather I'm not the only one who has this problem. Has a common solution been found yet? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
