Need a meme strategy for an 8 man game

    Posted: 22 Feb 2022 04:13 AM PST

So I'm going to be playing a 7-8 player free for all match with my friends where I am certain to lose. As such, I want to try a meme strategy that isn't intended to win me the game, but just to mess around with the other players.

The most recent one I've done was building 20 fetorias, where I just kept crashing the market.

Any ideas for how I can mess with the other players before they decide kill me would be appreciated.

9-1 in ranked placements, now 11-13

    Posted: 21 Feb 2022 07:11 PM PST

What gives? I blew through my ranked placements and got up to 1300 in what felt like fairly easy games (combination of Arabia and arena, playing around with 3-4 civs). After placements were over, I've been feeling incredibly outmatched. One or two games have been close now that I'm back down to ~1100. Essentially, what I'm asking is was I playing a different pool of players during my placement matches, or has anyone else had a similar experience?

The threshold between silver and gold is 1550 elo, which is just about the top 5% mark.

I crossed that elo threshold, and my profile border changed from silver to gold. It appears that they have stealth fixed the ranking system so the medals apply as they should.

Anyone know the threshold between bronze and silver?

Looking for forest nothing with 1 extreme AI vs 7 human players

    Posted: 21 Feb 2022 09:30 PM PST

Hi, I played on AOE definitive version a custom game where 7 players were within a forest nothing map but their areas were linked with roads and there was 1 road that went to the computer AI. Looking for the file name...anyone familiar?

How to get a centered AND bigger minimap

    Posted: 21 Feb 2022 03:09 AM PST

    Hello,

Im cutting right to the chase. I would like to have both a centered minimap and just a slightly bigger size so that my middle aged worn out eyes can read and understand the map without long stares and disrupton of already much confused low elo strategies. I know Nili has a video explaining how to customize the UI from a text file in game folder, but I was wondering if there's a mod solution out there. None of the "bigger minimap" mods I've tried seem to work effectively in combination with my "centered minimap" mod. Also, I tried centering the map by reframing the coordinates as Nili explained, but a bigger minimap mod overwrites the manual relocation process and puts it back in the corner. Also I tried one mod that had both features which also had transparent UI but the map was a tad too large (also was optimized for 4k so had clicking issues) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
