Need some help with trigger please! Posted: 04 Apr 2022 05:56 AM PDT Do you guys know how to finish a foundation with triggers? I have a king of the hill style map where you can train custom units at the monument and have it so that you can "train" a flame tower that gets tp'd to the middle of the monument to help with defense. But the way I have it set up is you train a unit (because you cant train buildings from buildings) which gets tp'd to the middle of the monument then replaced by a flame tower, but the tower is just a foundation that needs building. Posted: 03 Apr 2022 09:12 PM PDT Slavs monks getting Infantry upgrades effecting Monks as a Civ bonus. And replacing their Castle Age Unique Tech with something New! Upgrades would work like this- BLACKSMITH Armour - +3/+4p armour with all 3 armours upgrades (+2/+2p armour in Castle Age, but don't need a Castle) Attack - Nothing BARRACKS Squires - +10% speed (Total +25%) Supplies - Cost -15food (Valid for Kraken Civ Builder Mod only with Bohemians Imp Tech) Arson - Nothing (*Optional, converts buildings faster?????) CASTLE Druzhina - Monks convert adjacent units upon successful conversion. Max 1-2 adjacent units can be converted. Not valid for building conversions. TACTICS I see this being good for a Monk/Siege push supported by Infantry/Cavs. Which fits Slav Civ Identity. Also Monks with +4 armour and abilities to convert multiple units potentially becomes a good cost effective Anti Cav Archer Unit which would make for an interesting gameplay style and fill a big hole for Slav late game. Cost-effectiveness of defending against a mangonel push using Watch Towers Posted: 04 Apr 2022 01:02 AM PDT Mangonel does about 70 damage to a building, maybe 75 for tower. Fires 10 times per minute. One villager repairs 750 per minute, cancelling out one mangonel. Repair cost for one minute is 64 resources, which is about three villagers gathering. Villagers after the first repair at 375 per minute, so two repairers cancel out second mangonel. So against one mangonel, four villagers (200 resources, but food is harder to collect) cancel one mangonel (295 resources), and five villagers (250 resources) cancel the second mangonel. If repairing a town center, repair cost is 160 wood per minute, requiring about five villagers collecting (with wood upgrades). A tower with no upgrades adds 1 arrow per garrisoned villager, and fires slightly slower. With 4 garrisoned villagers, that might be 5 total arrows every 2.4 sec, or 25 volleys per minute, each doing 1 damage for 125 total damage. Repairing 125 damage to a mangonel costs 200 wood and 169 gold, requiring about 6 lumberjack (with wood upgrades) and 7.3 gold miners (without mining upgrades). With no garrisoned villagers, tower would do 30 damage or 24% of 125, so 4 garrisoned villagers cancel out 10.1 gatherers, as well as about 1 villager to repair the mangonel. So it is definitely worth it to garrison and repair a watch tower to defend against a mangonel push. If it's hard to repair damage from multiple mangonels without the mangonels targetting the repair villagers, build it one tile from a TC and garrison when a mangonel shot is incoming, then send the repairers back to work. If opponent does not right-click tower, can also distract mangonel fire with a runner, while tower continues to shoot, or even try to lure mangonels into TC range. A tower also makes it much more difficult to convert defender's mangonels using monks with Redemption. Against four mangonels, it could be hard to have 7 villagers repairing the same tower, but if they spend 1180 resources on siege they won't have as much to spend on defending those mangonels against cavalry.
