Am I the only one who thinks that giving press code to some people who even don't play the game was mistake? Who in your opinion give great coverage of new dlc?

I mean, if you don't play game recently, but decide to show new content, better spend 15 minutes and run through patch notes.

Sorry but watching guy praising battleship as unique malta superunit was too painful. There is some amazing coverage like aussie_drongo trying to come up with build timings "on the fly" and testing new natives or Lenlenlena with his perferct and short guides. Also jaegerchere made great showcase of each and every royal houses.

What is your recommendation for good dlc content review/analysis?

    Why no Poland revolution?

    Posted: 18 May 2022 09:11 AM PDT

a couple of years ago I was streaming the game for a friend if mine who is polish and he got excited when he saw the winged hussar card, and was immediately disappointed at the result. So finally after years we are going to get proper winged hussars, and hopefully the card will deliver them. That led to the question: when they released the European revolutions I was really excited, yet at the same time disappointed. I loved the implementation, but I thought for sure Poland would be one of the new mini civs. Poland would be an obvious revolution for Russia, Germany, and even Sweden, so why was Poland not included in the roster? My first thought was they may be planning a polish lithuanian commonwealth, but with the release of the United States, and Mexico that idea doesn't hold as much water. They made the Inca civ and left the Inca as native allies, so they are obviously not concerned about saving their ideas for a future civ. My initial thought was that it was because Poland didn't gain its independence through revolution like Finland, but Finland didn't gain it's independence until after ww1, so after the scope of the game. Poland did have a series of rebellions against their occupiers, and even had a brief stint of independence under Napoleon. So why isn't Poland a revolution?

Getting wiped by 30-40 unit army very early

    Posted: 17 May 2022 09:35 PM PDT

I don't know where TF they get them, but we doing ranked 2v2 with my friend and I get invaded by them at age 2 with 40 units each team, totaling at 80. I don't know how TF they get those. Really. I do know how to rush but maybe I'm not good at it. Am I supposed to stop creating Settlers at some point? Like because I never stop creating them. Maybe when rushing you are supposed to have your town center be actually idle.
