    These groups of villagers split up into groups of 3 + scout and build a TC in a new map, where a new game starts with someone else controlling them.

    Epic - Family Marathon Game

    OK, not epic for you guys. But me, my wife, and my two young teens just completed an AOE2 game against the PC (4v4) that lasted about 3.75 hours! My youngest was all "no dad, I don't want to play ... but I will" and by the end he was calling the game amazing and epic, and how he was going to save the replay.

    Anyway it was pretty much 2v4 the first 2 hours just trying to survive, I thought we were goners, and then the wife and youngest got the hang of it and started helping out, and then started kicking ai butt. Took way longer than I'd imagine but man that was fun. All 4 of us in the same area of the house, with steam chat going, pausing for snack breaks. Good stuff.

    Going above and beyond for the people who bought the game after the event.

    All x256 mods for DE don't work, they crash constantly.

    However, there is a cheat in the game which has the same effect as the mods! The only problem is you could only unlock it for an event some months ago. I didn't own the game until last month, so when I found out I couldn't play with the incredible x256 mod or the cheat, I was very disappointed.

    Devs, why do you keep this cheat locked behind something which nobody can gain access to now?

    I'm creating this build order tool and it's now in a state where it could use some testing: https://builds.aoe2-profile.com/

    The website is meant to be used on a smartphone while you're playing the game. It shows the build order as a timeline with the villager assignments that you should have at that point in time:

    It comes pre-filled with some of Cicero's build orders, but you can create new build orders or save the ones you make as a file. Everything runs from your device itself: except for fetching the app's resources from the server, it doesn't require any network access.

    Make AOE2:DE start faster?

    Hey all,

    I'm not sure what's wrong, but my AOE2:DE takes ages to load.

    I have a M.2 Pro as my boot drive, all games are installed on a EVO SSD. 5960x processor, 32GB RAM, GTX 970.

    All other games load quickly, but for AOE2, once I click play in steam, it take about 50-90 seconds to show the 3 kings screen. It's quite annoying, because when we're playing multiplayer and requested, sometimes it doesn't make everyone join and we restart the game.

    Everyone else has loaded the game, made a new MP ranked game and my game hasn't even started .. Not sure what I could change..?
