    Incas need Llama Knights

    Posted: 15 Apr 2021 03:19 AM PDT

Give Incas Llama Knights as a replacement for their villager rush. They lack a mobile power unit with high HP so a Llama Knight could fill this role. It also would sharpen their identity as Llama civ.

What are some (mostly) Campaign exclusive props and objects that you would like to see implemented in regular games?

    Posted: 15 Apr 2021 12:18 AM PDT

For instance I would personally like to see Fortified Palisade Walls being added as a Feudal Age skin of the regular Palisade Wall, to act as a clear visual indicator of the increased health it gains upon age up. It would also be neat if some of the exclusive infantry units like the Eastern Swordsman could act as an alternate skin for Men-At-Arms for instance, that you could toggle on and off.

Do you like Inca trush nerf?

    Posted: 15 Apr 2021 04:07 AM PDT

For people not informed yet, in new patch coming probably at the end of April Inca villagers will no longer be affected by blacksmith upgrades till Castle Age, which is supposed to nerf their oppressive tower rush abilities

Dev Team: Stop Changing Old Civilizations Identity

    Posted: 15 Apr 2021 07:11 AM PDT

Koreans used to be a tower rush civilization. Then they were reworked to be come just another archer civilization. Incas used to be a great tower rush civilization. Now they have been nerfed out of their specialty. Now there are no top-tier tower rushes anymore.

A plea to developers: when a civilization or strategy has been in its role for years and has allowed for content creators to create great content from it, please don't radically change it!

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

April Preview Update, shooting boar with TC

    Posted: 15 Apr 2021 12:05 AM PDT

Has anybody else noticed that in the April PUP available you can no longer shoot boars with your TC to weaken them? Not sure if it's just me getting a bug, or if this is an intended new change of feature for the game

Can anybody else confirm? If they're removing boar weakening it seems like a curious decision

Edit: thanks for the replies, it's a bug that will be fixed. Really glad we have the preview builds now so we can find and get these bugs reported before the patch goes live. Cheers to the devs

    Reintroduce Inca speed bonus differently

    Posted: 15 Apr 2021 08:11 AM PDT

    I'm not sure how possible this is from a programming perspective (although campaigns would tell me it would be), but;

I'd propose that all Inca units could gain a 5%/10%/15% speed bonus within the line of sight of towers, castles and town centers.

That would be both a nice nod to the historical road building feats of the civilization that allowed them to have quick communication and travel within the empire.

At the same time, it could help form the Inca's identity as a strong defensive civ, giving them the ability to quickly move their armies to defend locations, and would encourage them to build those cheaper towers to expand defensively without encouraging tower rushes too much.

Ideas for Sicilians balance:Replacing the Militia Line

    Posted: 15 Apr 2021 12:26 AM PDT

The recent Patches are trying to balance Sicilians.
From what I saw in a video was:
    Donjon 200 stone -> 175 stone
Sergants +1 armour in Feudal Age
+5 life in Castle( Imperial ) Age
First Crusader has an extra conversion resistance
Access to Siege Ram and Siege Onager

The one thing I already felt odd is they didn't change the cost of Elite Serjeants
Being 1100 Food and 800 Gold
That is just too much for a civ heavily relying on its unique unit
For example Elite Mangudai is 1100 Food 675 Gold

Another idea I would like is for the Serjeants to completely replace
the Militia line rather than all these buffs:
The reason is what the Sicilians really lack is some kind of early boost. But I think simply adding eco bonus is not creative and what makes its identity. I think the Serjeants can simply replace the militia in dark age with a respective stats. So I think they can have 1 armour for the extra gold cost. They don't have to upgrade so that's a benefit. This means the Sicilians can Serjant Drush and then Donjon rush in Feudal. Then the lake of eco upgrades wouldn't be that bad.

I guess people would assume this is too strong for them and remind people of the horrific Tower rush we finally got rid of. But I personally think this is the way to go and nerf for a civ like Sicilians. The Donjon are more expensive that means its more difficult for them to cover a whole eco area. The Serjants are also more expensive on gold and slower so this means taking out palisade walls are slower for them on default.

Sicilians are currently the worst drush civ as an infantry so it really does not make any sense.
    For comparison:
Japan has attack speed and eco bonus.
Goth has Loom bonus, discount and extra damage on building
Celt has wood wood and infantry bonus
Aztec has eco bonus Faster working rate and extra gold
Viking does not have a early bonus but once wheel barrow comes in we all know how insane they are
Even Teutons has a Farm bonus
So I really think this is the way to make this civ with a cool concept to work.

Will you want a change to Incas Team bonus with their recent nerf? if yes, what could it be?

    Posted: 15 Apr 2021 07:58 AM PDT

As per anounced in the incoming nerf to incas vills nerf, some agree it was fair, others said they need a buff in compensation.

but most agree that their faster built farms is a negligible bonus, what would you propose?

I can personally think of 2 options like:
    - Mills work 100% faster and support +5 population (due to Incas having gardens in their own houses historically).
    or
-Trade Units move 10% faster (they built roads all over their empire, some exists even today).

    Inca vs Spanish

    Posted: 15 Apr 2021 06:53 AM PDT

So happened to get Inca as a random civilization during a 2v2 match. My opponents are Spanish and Byzantines, whereas my ally is Koreans.

Can the Incas still stand a big chance against the Spanish and Byzantines, or I'm pretty much screwed?

Aztecs and Maya against Spanish is still manageable, because of the bonuses affecting eagles and skirms.

    Hey Reddit,

I come to you in a time of great need. I cannot for the life of me find the iconic Age of Empires 2 theme- not the title screen one from Age of Kings, but the one that plays during the Lords of the West trailer on the Steam page.

If anyone knows a name / a link to find it, I would be most obliged.
