    I have no idea how to play Burmese. Please send help.

    I've been trying to learn different civs and get around 5 wins each, but when I got to Burmese, the progress stopped, and my elo dropped from 1300 to 1100.

    The Arambai is a strong unit, so naturally I'd want to use it. But unlike other strong UU like mangudais, Arambais are only usable when in mass, like a big ball of it. So it makes the transition just painful. I lost most games when I went arambais and won when I went cavs or even just trash. And now I'm not sure if it's even worth to go arambais anymore.

    What do you think about arambais and how do you play Burmese?

    The issue with dodgers in Ranked Team Matches

    I'm not usually the person to complain too much, but the latest weeks/months have been particularly frustrating in the Ranked Team queue. Just today I've been put back in the queue about 8 times in a row before even starting a game. When the average waiting time is around 4 minutes, it stacks up quite a bit.

    People seem to always dodge maps they don't like making the experience for other players utterly bad.

    Maybe Microsoft should think about a way to punish people who are dodging too often? An example could be that if you dodge more than 1x in a given day you have to wait the average waiting time of the queue before being allowed to enter the queue again. This would be annoying for the dodger but would not biaise matchmaking like a hit to your elo would do.

    I always lose before Castle Age, help!

    To try and keep this as short as possible; I am trying online games for the first time (well, ranked anyway. Tried unranked and that was a BAD idea), and I pretty much lose around the time I reach Castle Age every time. I always get assaulted by unending waves of Feudal Age units, cannot produce enough counter units fast enough and my economy goes down the drain. But what confuses me is that my score is often around my opponents, or even higher, and I advance to Feudal around the same time as my opponent. I am clearly doing something wrong, but I have no idea what it is.

    For background; I have done the online practice levels and passed them all, and know all the unit type matchups. But I just cannot get enough economy (despite keeping villager and town centre idle time to an absolute minimum) to afford a military by the time my opponent has enough of an army to kill all my villagers.

    I am looking for general tips or anything really that can help.

    My team game rating started really low and I won most games and moved up quickly. But now I'm stuck around 1730 because I keep ending up on teams with people who resign instantly or too early, or I get ganged up on and my team mates don't make military to help. And today I even played a game which we won and got 0 points. It's making it unenjoyable because I'm not getting to play to my level, what am I meant to do?

    what are your thoughts on giving a slight bonus damage for champions against light cavalry line

    I heard Viper say that perhaps this could be a good idea to endorse using all barracks units for some non-goth civs and not just pikes and something else. I think it's a small change but it would be good to have to decisively beat trash units like hussars

    Trying out my latest update to my feitoria nothing map

    Hey it'd be cool if y'all showed up.

    Each player starts with 10 feitorias, 2 (ungarrisoned) relics and 4 villagers on an open map. There's 4 relics in the center and an outpost for each player there.

    Any civ can build feitorias starting in dark age so you can sneak off and rebuild if you're lucky.

    The Lighting Fast 3vs3 Tournament DW game mode

    This event is the first team game tournament with the DW game mode.

    Requirements for registration:
    1. have 150 or more games played in the Random Map Team Game mode.
    2. Last game played no earlier than 01/06/2021.
    3. Have a Steam profile with information. If your steam profile is empty or private, we will assume it is a smurf account and refuse registration. If you have Xbox profile, please contact us first.
    4. Max. ELO in Team Game: Historical Maximum 2900. Maximum in 1 v 1. 2000.
    5. Max. 5 players per team.

    12 teams

    Sportsmanship and laming

    The other day I was playing a game Cumans vs Huns. He went scouts. I went with a rather memey approach and built spears and made forward seige and rams. After destroying stable and barracks he started to stone wall me out but I managed to break in at one spot near his gold. He had just gotten to castle age and I was still probably a minute til I clicked up. So I used my 2 vils to house wall in his gold he was mining. Needless to say he was upset and said I ruined the game. But personally I feel like if you're a 14xx and you allow someone to house wall in the gold you were mining in castle age, that's a tiny bit your fault. Earnestly, was I a jerk for that?

    I feel like in dark age, vills will fight back against scout automatically, but they don't seem to do the same thing any other time.

    Best civ for an all-in feudal scout rush?

    Magyars, Sicilians, Turks, Franks or Huns?

    Magyars: free atk upgrade, 15% cheaper

    Sicilians: -50% less bonus dmg vs spearmen, horse collar gives 100% more food

    Turks: +1 pierce armor

    Franks: +20% HP (but no BL), foragers work 15% faster, free horse collar

    Huns: scouts created 20% faster, no house need

    I'm leaning towards Sicilians/Turks... Sicilians to take better fights vs spearmen (but how significant is the 50% less bonus dmg vs spearmen really?) and Turks to dive TCs to kill vils more easily.

    Goal is to have 2 and eventually 3 stables producing nonstop scouts to kill vils and cripple the opponent economy to a point that even if they get up to Castle Age much faster than you, they don't have the economy to make much... I'll also be producing some spearmen in barracks in mid feudal age in case enemy produces Knights/Camels. Suggestions?
