    Could Map creators implement some sort of Fertile farmland?

    Maps like "gold rush, Gold hill" or maps fish in the middle show how important recource positioning is.

    Then i thought - why isnt there something equivalent for farms.

    Like an "extra" green grass, on which farms would either be created with extra food, or have a 10-20% faster gather rate. It could be around the outside, in the center - wherever you want to encourage a player to spread his economy.

    It would be a permanent point of content, unlike something like extra berries which run out.

    I think it might also be less of a "Final move" like we've seen on gold rush - the player that controls the center in the lategame automatically wins because hes spamming knights/ Crossbows vs trash units.

    In Rise of the Rajas, although a time I wasn't actually playing AoE2, they look much better than they are as of now. It seems strange they were nerfed since they are a pretty rare unit to see in ranked matches but I guess the nerfs were really for team games.

    Anyway, Battle Elephants used to have:

    • 50% trample damage instead of 25%
    • +7 bonus damage against buildings instead of +4
    • Blast radius of 0.5 tiles instead of 0.4
    • Elite Battle Elephant cost is 800f 500g instead of 1200f 900g
    • Howdah used to give +1/2 armour instead of +1/1, maxing out at 1+3/2+4 armour
    • Khmer Battle Elephants used to move 15% faster instead of 10%, maxing out at 1.08 tiles/sec

    Elite Battle Elephats were even better:

    • 16 attack instead of 14
    • +10 vs Buildings instead of +7
    • 50% trample damage instead of 25%
    • 0.5 trample damage radius instead of 0.4
    • Khmer Battle Elephants used to move 15% faster instead of 10%, maxing out at 1.08 tiles/sec
    • Howdah used to give +1/2 armour instead of +1/1, maxing out at 1+4/3+6 armour!
    • Burmese Battle Elephants could go up to +16 vs buildings instead of +13, meaning they did 36 damage to outposts instead of today's 31!

    For Elite Battle Elephant it seems it was very OP, or it wouldn't have been nerfed this much... but if you were around in these days to see the unit in action be sure to tell us how OP it was then for this many nerfs!

    Sicillians Buff: Donjons should count as a Feudal building; Serjeants should be able to repair siege and castles

    I honestly don't think the Sicillians are that weak, just very different. Scout rushes are extremely dangerous if you don't match with better scouts or enough archers, and their trash is very resilliant late game.

    Making Serjeants in Feudal age (or on the way to castle age) is uncommon because of how expensive and slow they and their Donjons are. If a Donjon counted as a Feudal age building, then it wouldn't be such a strain on the eco because you wouldn't necessarily need to invest also 175 wood into a market or 350 into a barracks and range/stable.

    Serjeants with siege would be especially potent if they could repair the siege they're fighting alongside, and since they're tankier than villagers I imagine it could actually make Sicillians one of the top siege civs. Serjeants and Mangonels or Rams would be extremely hard to stop without getting close. Thematically it makes sense, historically it makese sense. Imagine it: manned siege.

    I lumped castles in there too because it annoys me Serjeants know how to build these beautiful Donjons, but have no idea how to fix a castle made of the same material....

    Fun fact: one loading screen tool tip for Sicillians mentioned that this was a functionality of Serjeants, but afaik it's never been available.

    What new Unique Abilities for Unique Units you can think of?

    In the Definitive Edition we got some interesting Unique Abilities such as

    1. Bulgarian Konnik Dismounting/2 Lives.
    2. Lithuania Leitis Armor Ignoring.
    3. Tatar Keshik gold producing.
    4. Burgundian Coustillier Charged Attack.
    5. Sicilian Serjeant Building Donjon and availability in Feudal Age.
    6. Poland Obuch which could be another Armor Ignoring, but maybe they could have a Armor Breaking Ability, basically reducing the enemy unit's armor when they attack.

    What other Unique Abilities can you think of?

    For me, maybe a Snare abilities like in AoE 3, where unit that got hit have their speed lowered for a few seconds. Or a Unique Unit that can gather Resources slowly but can be trained in Feudal Age.

    Need activities to pass time while queued for ranked

    Currently we can only read the tech tree, but can't do nothing else. It gets boring if you are queued up for a while. We need to get some activities while queued, for example:

    • Being able to read the civ histories.
    • Being able to watch some current games.
    • Being able to read up about different strategies.
    • Being able to go to settings and learn the hotkeys.
    • Being able to browse clans or discord servers.

    We don't need all of them, but at least a few more options would be nice.

    Is having a low EAPM necessarily a bad thing?

    When analyzing previous games, I persistently see that my EAPM (Effective Actions per Minute) is rather low: around 15-20 on average and never higher than 25-30. Sometimes it's even around 10 EAPM for a couple of minutes. It doesn't seem to affect my outcomes though. I regularly win games against opponents with similar or higher EAPM's and I'm steadily climbing the ELO ladder.

    I like to believe I am winning those games because the actions I do perform are the smart things to do at that particular moment, or because I use my hotkeys wisely…? I do wonder, though, is my EAPM holding me back from climbing the ladder even faster?

    And if so: how do I improve?

    Crash during Game

    Aoe2 is crashing for no apparent reason since few days The game close and doesn't give any error messages, others players in game still see me up and don't see that I left/resigned I never had trouble to hold the game and i never have fps drop or screen freeze

    Does any one has the same issues in the last days ?

    Small trees isn’t working online

    Gaming Keyboard/Mouse?
