| AOE3: DE FPS locked at half the refresh rate Posted: 24 Oct 2021 09:52 AM PDT I can comfortably run the game at 1080p, max graphics at 75fps which is my monitor's refresh rate - was playing as recently as yesterday with this experience. All of a sudden today when booting up the game it dips to 38fps and never goes up even if I lower the graphic settings (which has never been the issue anyway). I didn't change any settings and the FPS limit in-game has always been set to 75. It seems like something is deliberately capping my frame rate to half of my monitor's refresh rate, but I have no idea what. Any of you tech experts have any advice? [link] [comments] |
