Is something going on with ESO right now? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 08:16 PM PST I cant login with my account. I cant recover my account. When I look up my account via the portal it says there is no user found tied to my CD key or product ID. The last part may be true as I created the account back when I bought AoE3 off the microsoft store for a penny or free on some rare sale. I played a few weeks ago in a private game at a friends house and all was fine. I tried creating a new account as https://esoaccounts.agecommunity.com/login.aspx said there wasnt an account associated with my key but I get an error on creating the account. Edit - I also own the complete edition on steam since the the version of I got on the Microsoft store is no longer available [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 03:21 PM PST I recently read the EP patch notes and I like some of the things they've done to balance the matchups and revitalize the weaker civs. Imo my fav civ Spain is still lackluster especially so in age2 and late game eco. But first let's list the alleged perks of Spain. Pros Wardogs- great for treasure and fighting. Faster xp- mediocre since other civs share this perk in round about ways or for very little investment. FF-Strong age3 cav/hand inf shipments Cons Poor mid to late eco unless you can successfully pull off an ATP Or water boom (middle of the pack on water anyways). Rod are trash even on EP No age 2 direct military upgrades for shooting units. The EP unction card ships one monk for 5%... meanwhile other civs sending a single card that buff some/all units by 10%+. Basically put Spain doesnt want to stick around in age 2 since their early exp becomes null, enemy units become stronger for less, most civs eco easily takeover Spain mid age 2 and onward. This means Spain viability has a lot with how well one can execute a FF. How is this a strategy when it's your only real option? Sure you may catch someone by surprise that doesnt scout, that merely assumed FF...but honestly the civ lacks versatility. Even worst Spain FF is good...but it's not even the best. Something needs to be done to either buff base unit strengths and/or add mid to late game eco. And no that EP 400 gold shipment isnt strong enough. Consider age 3 resource are worth 1k units. Sending Spainish gold would net you -600 on first shipment and -200 on 2nd shipment by the 3rd shipment you'd only be plus 200 resources? Mine you each successive shipment takes longer to obtain which diminishes its value/time. This is how I would fix it... Rod are "ok" units vs hand cav and hand cav only but in age 2 Spain has no legit light inf to force the opponent heavily mass cavs to force the rod vs cav encounter. Since Spain cards already buff hand inf I suggest an age 2 card be made that gives rods 3x vs heavy inf!!! This would be the Spain jaegers "Jag Rods"--okay we not changing the name. Rods would still melt vs decent light inf and micro goons but musk would no longer be a cost effective solution. Giving Spain the jag solution would allow for Spain to military wise hang with Age 2 skirmishes. Option 2 GIve Spain a stronger light infantry, a cetan bow equalivant would very formidable against early pressure and would play into the strength of rods and rod upgrades. Option 3 Increase the fast exp rate such that Spain gets an extra shipment very early to help bolster their eco and/or military. Additionally for the late game eco Spain gold should be 1000 on first shipment and 200 every shipment after that. Overall this is a nerf but it gives you more upfront which is what is needed to jumpstart your eco. Comments?!! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 07:04 AM PST I find this to be the laziest strat ever. The only real weak moment for Spain is if they are forced to stay Colonial. Still Unction+Inquisition powered Musketeers are enough to defend against any colonial aggression and can get you to Fortress albeit a bit slower. Once safely in Fortress, You can train just Lancers & 10 missionaries. With just couple of cards, Lancers get about 50 base attack times 4 against Heavy Infantry. So about 20 Lancers can wipe out anything that you throw against them. Any lancers that are still left standing after an exchange get all their health back thanks to missionaries healing them right away. You can retrain lost units quick and keep on booming thanks to their aggression. Even with least eco numbers, the kill/loss ratio is always close to 4. They say Gendarme are hard to counter but there is no real counter to Unction+Inquisition powered Lancers. Using Musks is out of question since with 200+ attack and higher HP, Lancers will win. I think this is why Spain originally was given only 1 Factory and can send only 1 Fort. You'll have have the option of Goons & skirms if you need them if you are facing a mass of Jinetes. Lancers can retreat thanks to highers LOS and missionaries are very quick footed, they can run back to base to defend against a surprise sneak attack even before a batch of units gets trained in base. You are always guaranteed to have Ronin if you send Dance Hall for your Melee heavy infantry needs & you never have to upgrade any of your pikemen or Rodeleros. With unction, Ronin stats are even more elevated. Once in Industrial you can send Factories back to back thanks to your faster shipments, you can train just a handful of Mortars / horse artillery and its gg. [link] [comments] |
