    I've been playing Kaiserklein's German saloon semi ff into merc recently and have been winning a lot of games. However, I've been called a lamer and a noob multiple times after winning like this. Is this strategy considered unfair and frowned upon by the community?

    Playing As The Aztecs

    Hey guys,

    I'm a big fan of playing as the Aztecs but I noticed that if anybody gets past age 3 I am pretty much screwed. Are the aztecs just an early game civ and can't really keep up later on, or am I just missing out on some vital shipment cards?

    Is heavy artillery useless? (Grand bombard and Imperial cannon)

    Hi, noob here getting back into the game after 13 years of playing lots of single player back in the day.

    So I've been playing online more vs. humans and I rarely see grand bomards or imperial cannons very much. The only arty I've really seen so far are horse guns, flaming arrows, mortars, and the odd culverin every now and then.

    I'm starting to wonder if there's reason I'm not seeing the big guns. I thinking it has to do with the fact that they can't be trained directly, coming only from shipments or factories, so you can really get a critical mass of them to be effective. And even if you could, they're so population heavy that you can't have much of an army to protect them if you're trying to use more than 3 or something.

    Am I on the right track here or do they get a lot of use in online play that I just haven't experienced yet?

    Will there ever be 8v8 ?

    Have connections gotten better since 2005 ? Would make for some interesting subplots when you have 8v8 and not so much one primary battle. And random games would be closer.. and maybe one person dropping out wouldn't not matter as much
