If you could make radical changes to the game, which would those be?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2020 11:27 PM PDT

Just for entertaining purposes, I'm curious: What mechanics would you guys completely change/remove or add into the game if you could...

    For me, I would be:

    • Make Towers do more damage when near a Town Center or a Castle.

    • Create a "late-game" upgrade building like AoE3's Capitol (one of the things I really like about that game)

    • Make tree stumps regrow within 30 minutes of ingame time if nothing is built upon them.

    • Increase the resource capacity of gold mines from 800 to 1100 and stone from 350 to 550.

    • Being able to Trade with your own markets at a huge gold penalty.

Quick tip if you lose your vills to boars often

    Posted: 30 Sep 2020 07:15 PM PDT

NEVER set a waypoint directly on the boar, and never task a villager to a boar from a long distance away. Instead, set the waypoint NEXT to the boar. This way if you get distracted you'll have an idle vill instead of a dead one.

Question for people who are watching KOTD3, don't upvote

    Posted: 01 Oct 2020 07:00 AM PDT

I've watched the whole Ro64, but couldn't find the time to watch the Ro32, apart from the first day.

I don't have the time to watch all of the other 12 sets that are remaining, and want to come here and ask which were the better and most exciting ones that are must-watch, just like Mr. Yo vs Sitaux and ACCM vs Chart. I don't have the time to watch easy 3-0 matchups, and I don't want spoilers so I come here for help.

    Donkey sound in mill?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2020 05:45 AM PDT

Okay, this is probably pretty obvious to everyone here but I just noticed that the mill seems to be the only building to make sounds by itself, that being the donkey sound.

Weird. I never really noticed it for years.

An upgrade to outposts from the Feudal age or Castle age using the blacksmith or University. Perhaps it can be a civ bonus that you get for free or a castle tech maybe.

The fortified outpost triggers a notification when an army of a certain size passes by it. You can use the arrows on the unit to select the number of units needed to trigger the fortified outpost. This would be a situational unit and not so overpowered.

    any historical battles for beginners?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2020 07:28 AM PDT

I tried 2-3 and they seemed to be over my head. I played this game before around 2011 but I'm rusty.. I'm looking for a beginner friendly scenario.

    Hitpoints healed statistic

    Posted: 30 Sep 2020 01:58 PM PDT

Please give us a 'hitpoints healed' statistic in the post-game statistics!

After watching Spirit of the Law's healing video I tried a Teuton strat that relied on healing.

My goal was to make 150 paladins and keep them alive by healing them in Tueton castles (free herbal medicine, healing in buildings is faster, and 2x building capacity). They survived well into the trash war and I was able to keep a smaller economy because healing is essentially the same as collecting resources.

Healing is underused and I think showing players how much damage they healed in the post-game statistics would encourage players to heal more.

What would be most helpful, but harder to calculate, would be resources recovered by using healing. Instead of telling players how many hitpoints they healed, tell them the equivalent number of resources they saved by healing their units.

Any modders out there who can make this happen?

    What do you think?
